After some failed filibustering by the House Democrats, judge Amy Coney Barret is expected to receive Monday the Senate votes required to confirm her effective nomination as USA’s next Supreme Court Justice. Barrett’s choosing by Trump has become a strong point of contention between Republicans and Democrats, as the appointment of the Florida-native judge presupposes a turn to a more conservative line for America’s top judicial body.

Barret’s impending designation would become the third in a list of SCOTUS appointments for Trump, as he has already handled two other Supreme Court justice nominations during his presidential tenure.

Politics News: Barrett To Be Confirmed Today as New SCOTUS

With Barrett’s arrival, the Super Court restates its new conservative build-up that features 3 liberally-inclined justices juxtaposed to an overwhelming 6-justice traditionalist majority.

Ginsburg’s very unexpected death, positioned so close to an uber-important presidential election, created a new political crisis between America’s top parties. Democrats soon decried the dangers of another conservative justice in the Supreme Court, which they regard as already alarmingly inclined to the revocation of long-obtained judicial victories, such as the very controversial Roe vs Wade and Obama rulings.

Unfortunately for Nancy Pelosi’s party, the Democratic objections to Barrett’s nomination didn’t have the desired impact, as the Senate Republicans currently control the necessary votes required to confirm Barrett this very afternoon without any compelling opposition.

According to CNN’s source,  Trump will host an outdoor swearing-in ceremony for Barrett at 9 pm tonight. The White House hasn’t yet confirmed if the event will air via any media network yet, however, considering CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS and even PBS’s reluctance to cover any event in which Trump is heavily featured, the best chances for a live broadcast probably lie in either Fox News or C-Span.
