Rudy Giuliani Tests Positive for COVID-19

In a tweet posted by President Trump over the weekend, it was revealed that his personal lawyer; and former mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani 76, has tested positive for COVID-19. Giuliani is receiving treatment at the Georgetown University Medical Center, he was admitted on Sunday.

Andrew Giuliani, the son of the former mayor, issued a statement saying that his father was getting great care and was feeling well.

At this point, it is not clear where Giuliani may have come into contact with the virus. In the past few weeks; he has been all over the country helping President Trump with his numerous lawsuits claiming widespread voter fraud in the election. Most recently, Giuliani was in Georgia for a meeting about alleged voter fraud in that state.

Health Team Nominations Announced By President-elect Biden

While lawsuits continue to roll on and the Electoral College members prepare to meet and vote on Dec. 14, President-elect Joe Biden is carrying on with the business of his transition to office. That includes continuing to hire and nominate people that will be part of his cabinet moving forward.

Fighting the virus and getting vaccines out to the general public, is at the top of Biden’s list of things to do once he takes office. It’s no surprise then that he is busy putting together a team built to take care of those specific tasks.

Early Monday morning, Biden announced that California Attorney General Xavier Becerra would be the man tasked with taking on the role of head of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Anthony Fauci will remain in place as the chief medical adviser for the new administration, while Rochelle Walensky will take over as the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
